Congratulations to the Future Business Leaders of America members who competed at the FBLA Central Section Leadership Conference on Saturday, February 10, 2024, at Redwood High School in Visalia, CA. CSLC 2019-2020
A trip that unforgettably went smoothly for the Future Business Leaders of America, took place on February 8, 2020 at Redwood High School in Visalia, CA. The members of this organization didn't leave empty handed, according to President Paola Garcia who said, "It went very well and a lot of us placed. We have about ten moving to state, including myself. There's Mark, Parneet, Gurnoor, Karanbir, Chelsea, Rick, etc." Her parter in crime, Cassandra Mangohig and FBLA Vice-President state, "I didn't place but I won a laptop!" So even with what could be a loss, there was a silver lining. The members left Visalia victorious and ready to enter state.

CSLC 2018-2019
n Saturday, February 9, while most students were busy catching up on their sleep, Delano and Chavez Future Business Leaders of America woke up early and traveled to Redwood High School in Visalia, California to attend the 2019 Central Section Leadership Conference. After months of studying and preparation, they competed in their events and placed, many qualifying for this upcoming state competition in Sacramento on April 24-28. Two students also were elected into the Central Section cabinet—Cesar Chavez High Paola Garcia (Treasurer) and Parneet Sahota (Secretary).

CSLC 2016-2017
The Cesar E. Chavez High School chapter of Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) made its mark at the State Leadership Conference held in Sacramento, CA on April 6-9, 2017. Two of the chapter members taking part in the conference competitive categories placed, making school history as the first to place at the state level. Congratulations to Marceleany Cortez who took FIRST place in Securities and Investments and Kristine Carrillo for achieving fifth place in Public Speaking II. Award winners received plaques for their accomplishments at the awards ceremony where over 2,100 CA FBLA members, advisers, and special guests attended. FBLA members advances and will now represent our State of California and compete in the National FBLA conference to be held June 28-July 2 in Anaheim, CA.
Additional accomplishments by the CCHS FBLA chapter that were recognized with a Certificate at the State section meeting all of which were "firsts" for the organization:

- Government Awareness Project Award (Chapter Award)
- Leaders in Life Project Award (Kristine Carrillo)
- Gold Seal Chapter of Merit (Chapter Award)
"I'm so excited that we're a Gold Seal Chapter! Making Gold Seal was our goal this year and we did it! We're the first chapter in our school to ever achieve this award." said Kristine Carrillo, FBLA President. The Gold Seal chapter award of merit is a special chapter recognition program named after Hollis and Kitty Guy. This program recognizes the top 15% percent of chapters in the nation. In order to qualify for the Gold Seal Chapter Award of Merit, both individual members and chapter must complete a lengthy set of activities for their local chapter throughout the year. A local annual business report documenting the activities along with the Program of Work (POW) is then sent to the FBLA Director for review. Chapters who qualify are then recognized at the state conference.
The Business Achievement Awards involve four levels of leadership achievement, each consisting of the following business, education, and leadership elements:
- Integrated into the FBLA-PBL goals, programs, and partnerships
- Aligned with NBEA Standards
- Includes integrated classroom activities
- Takes into consideration the strategic needs at each level of the association
- In conjunction with and influenced by current business practices and corporate needs

Kristine Carrillo, who won her election last February in the Central Section Conference also took her oath at the State Section Meeting and was installed as the Central Section Public Relations Officer for the 2017-2018 school year.
"I commend the students for all of their hard work, countless hours working after school and on weekends, and for their dedication to making this a very successful FBLA year" said Ms. Rosemarie Dao, CCHS FBLA Adviser.
The FBLA mission is to bring business and education together in a positive working relationship through innovative leadership and career development programs.

2014-2015 FBLA CONFERENCE
The CCHS Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) have been very active this year with fundraising events to help offset costs to their sectional and state conferences: football games, See's candies, flower sales, etc. They have also been active in community service as part of their service learning project: Delano Clean-up day, sponsored breast cancer awareness month by making pink ribbons for the entire student body, Go Green projects, March of Dimes, etc. Recently FBLA members attended the FBLA Central Section Leadership Conference at Redwood High School in Visalia on Feb. 6th, where nearly 250 FBLA members from the Central Valley networked and competed in different business related competitions. Many of the CCHS members came back with awards with some qualifying for the FBLA state competition to be held in April, 2015:
