The Delano Joint Union High School District  is  part of the Self Insured Schools of California (SISC) which is the largest public school insurance pool in the U.S.  SISC is not an insurance company it is a community of public schools offing many coverage options to meet the unique needs of their members. 

SISC serves more than 457 educational agencies, 44 counties and has 368,170 members. 

The Delano Joint Union High School District offers medical, dental and vision insurance plans through Anthem Blue Cross, Delta Dental, Anthem Dental and Vision Service Plan.

Prescription drug coverage is provided by Navitus.  

SISC offers added value benefits to our members that enable them to get and stay healthy.

All plans have an out-of-pocket max of $1000 - individual/ $3000 – family

All plans have a $100 Co-pay ER Visit / Waived if Admitted

$0 Co-pay Vision; VSP is Provider

DELTA DENTAL - PREMIER plans operate as incentive level coverage meaning you are covered 70% for services during the 1^st year, 80% the 2^nd year, 90% the 3^rd year and 100% 4^th year and thereafter.  It is important that you remember to schedule an appointment at least once every calendar year in order to maximize  and maintain your 100% incentive coverage.  This applies to you and your covered dependents.

DELTA DENTAL - DPO plans are covered 100% for services however the list of approved dentist are limited.

SISC DENTAL HEALTH PLANS:  You understand that if you elect to pick coverage  under the SISC Dental plan for the 24-25 plan year and for any reason you elect to change to the delta dental plan in the 25-26 plan year, the incentive level will begin at 70% coverage.

Premium amounts are taken out eleventhly on the end of month payroll warrant for those individuals who are less than 12 months.

Premium amounts can be taken out before taxes if set up as a Section 125 through American Fidelity.  American Fidelity usually comes to the District and the different sites in September so please be on the look out for them to sign up.
